• A Community Hub
  GESH has been providing care, support and
  fun activities in the local community for over
  35 years. The centre is a hub of the community
  for hundreds of local residents, especially the
  elderly, children or those living with physical
  or mental disabilities.
• Fun Activities
  Come to GESH in Redcastle Square, Garthamlock
  to enjoy exciting activities such as country dancing,
  prize bingo, discos, exercise classes, art & craft
  courses, pool & snooker nights, and more. Local
  councillors and MPs hold their surgeries in the
  centre – so come along to get your voice heard!
• Functions and Events
  At GESH, we also accommodate social functions
  and private events in the centre or in our function
  suites. You can host children’s parties, wedding
  receptions, birthday parties, funeral receptions
  or any other private functions. Our team will
  even provide the catering if you need it.
• A Bite to Eat
  GESH offers catering services for your
  private event or function, as well as a popular
  Wednesday lunch club and a monthly tea dance
  for senior citizens. We can provide buffet
  catering and full meals, all of which are
  cheap, tasty and nutritious!

Welcome to GESH – Greater Easterhouse Supporting Hands – a community centre with a difference. GESH is situated in the heart of Easterhouse and offers a positive hub of community, friendship and care to over 600 members, and particularly those with mental and physical disabilities. But GESH really is a community facility for everyone – people around the Greater Easterhouse area use the centre on a weekly basis as a thriving social club and as an entertainment, activity and political venue.

GESH plays a central role in the local community: the centre holds bowls, country and western dancing, local councillor surgeries, community council meetings, bingo nights, exercise classes, and numerous activities for disabled people throughout the local area. Take a look around the website to find out more about our famous Friday night disco, wheelchair basketball, DJ courses and all our other fun and friendly events and activities.

You can also hire GESH for functions and private events. We are proud to provide our members with catering services, including a Wednesday lunch club, a tasty canteen and home-made delights for your wedding, party or event.
